“The story of Unshamed began in 2020, with a podcast that sought to break down the shame that surrounds culturally taboo topics when it comes to women's bodies, minds and souls. The podcast was part of Zoe Community's larger mission to empower and support women no matter what they're going through.
In 2023, Zoe Community sponsored and hosted a Christian women's conference in Portlaoise, known as She Is. The conference was the starting point for a new movement that didn't shy away from subjects that cause shame and isolation for many women. Recognising the need for more spaces for women to talk openly about their experiences and support one another, the Unshamed conference was born.”
